Visitor analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand website traffic and performance. It does not use analytics cookies. Cloudflare also hosts this website and processes connection information to deliver and secure it.

Optional Google Analytics

If you choose “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics measures page visits, selected button clicks, catalog browsing, search terms, which catalog videos play, visible playback time and completed contact or contributor forms. It uses cookies to distinguish visits. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google signals.

For the catalog, a random visit code groups searches and video interactions within this browser tab. It expires after 30 minutes of inactivity or when the tab session ends, and is removed when you decline analytics. It is not a name, email address or account, and is not linked to form answers. Google also reports approximate country and device category. Searches are recorded after you pause typing or press Enter; please do not enter personal information in catalog searches. Queries resembling email addresses, links or phone numbers are excluded from analytics.

Video viewing time counts visible playback in our catalog player, excluding pauses, buffering, seeking and hidden tabs. It cannot measure attention or playback in a directly opened media file.

We send the type of form completed, not your answers, email address, name or submission identifier. Our event tracking strips query strings and fragments from page addresses, and sends only the origin of a referring website.

You can decline without affecting the website or its forms, or change your choice using “Analytics preferences” below. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to six months. Declining after previously allowing disables further Google tracking and removes this site's Google Analytics cookies.

Forms

Our contact and contributor forms are hosted by Tally. Information you choose to submit goes to Tally and Hypercollective so we can respond to your enquiry or contribution request. These submissions are separate from optional analytics. Forms opened directly on tally.so are not measured by this website's completion tracking.
